Material Description

Local newspapers that covered news about the Town of North Castle (Bedford, Banksville, North White Plains, Armonk). These newspapers are in poor condition, and this project is crucial to preserve the history of our town. The scanned items to date have been utilized internationally, with inquiries as far as Australia.

Summary

We are scanning the Historical local Newspapers dating as far back as 1915. We have completed a segment up to the 50's and are looking to complete the 60's and up, over a period on the next two years. We have microfilm, as well as an online hosted page which is searchable.
